Over the past few years, Whitbread has seemed to be selling off a lot of it's brands. After talkin to several members of staff at the two Brewers Fayres I regularly help out at, we have come to a conclusion that Whitbread is going bankrupt, but is not saying anything about it.
Here is what major changes they have made over the last few years.
2004 / 2005 Marriot hotels sold off
2005 Brewsters family restaurants converted back to the Brewers Fayre brand.
2006 Pizza Hut joint owner ship sold off.
2006 235+ free standing Brewers Fayres and Beefeaters sold off to Mitchel's & Butler's sold off
2006/2007 TGI Fridays to be sold off
2007+ Premier Travel Inn to be sold off?
To me, the company must be having trouble if it is selling off that much of it's business.
Its more of a waste of typing, but he does have a fair point. Its not like anyone really cares about the future of Whitbread which was never that good from the start. I mean you don't even have any back up what so ever that this so called rumour is true. _________________
Well, I do know that what I wrote above about Whitbread is true, because the place that I work at was recently sold off, and when it was owned by Whitbread, it changed three times. It started off as a Brewers Fayre. Then changed to Brewsters. Then back to Brewers Fayre. And recenty it has been sold off to Mitchell's and Butlers as part of the 241 restaurants being sold off.
So, if i worked at a paper mill, could i claim that the entire thing was going to be abducted by aliens, just because i work there and i have heard somebody else say that?
