DVD or CD-Rom?I'm making a lot of films at the moment and I'm wanting to put them on disks. DVD's are more expensivce than CD's, so is it worth paying extra, I mean is there a large amount of difference?

it depends on if you['re making a DVD or just an AVI or other
if you're using AVI, MPG, etc. then get CD-R or CD-RW (the R is for Recordable, the RW is for Re-Writeable - meaning you can erase a RW if you balls it up)
shell out for blank DVD's only if you're doing a DVD

dvd's have more storage capacity, but are more expensive, also depends on how long you need the film for. I reccomend using dvd as you can have more storage space and most films now are on dvd

A lot of films are on DVD as a lot of films have big budgets and can justify buying the rights to produce DVDs.
Like I say, I do movies for bands and I do them on CD-R with a menu because they don't have the length that can warrant a DVD disc.

only reason why I put movies onto dvd is the free space I could use, cd's only have 700Mbytes where as dvd-r can write to 4.7GB single side and 9.4GB double side so I find that better, saying that, depends on how much ya need as I see no point using a 4.7GB disc for a 30MB movie. If I was going all round uk filming I would use a dvd-r due to all recording space I would need, same with funfairs. i'd only use cd-r for classic moments, quick wedding moments etc...

What you have put is exactly what I put before you... and what you put first time is exactly what was put in the post before it... Well done.
And if I had the money to film "all around the UK", I'd first get a hard drive camcorder before going onto DVD.
