New Grand National TrainsFor 2006 the Grand National at BPB will recieve a new set of 4 trains. At the moment it only runs 2 due to the fire in 2004 when the others were destroyed in the station. This will lead for more capacity and a chance for another lucky train.
These new trains are to hold a new restraint system too. At the moment it has a single lap bar for 2 people, meaning if you get a fat guy next to you its air time heaven! Sadly this element will be removed and it will be a single bar per person, along with this it will have seatbelts which will drive the operators mad!
The trains are going to be manufactured by the same company who has done them for probably the past 70 years and they will probably know from expereinve which train elements make the national good! The constructors a Philidelphia Tobaggan Company!

The National trains are in a bit of a mess at the moment. The ride has been installed with electric brakes (The idiots) and it isn't lining the trains up properly. This means it can't run 4 trains at once, which means the ride is no better off than it was before.

The new trains are broken after only 2 weeks! One of the metal strips from the front of one of the cars on the green train has peeled off already

Really! Their top of the range trains too. It must be the good old Nash roughness thats too much for the new trains!

After experiencing the new trains I have to say they will never match up to the old ones. They seem a lot rougher, but I think thats due to the ride getting older and the restraints being closer to your laps. Still, a good ride but the pain has gotten worse loosing some of the rides magic.
