Just got back from Terra Mitica, and what a great time it was. Weather was great throughout the whole visit, and although not too unusual Terra Mitica was as quiet as anything. Barely had to queue for more than 10 minutes throughout the whole day! .
I have to say that it is the most well themed park I have ever seen. I would go as far to say that the place even competes with Disney, and I am stunned that this great park is soooo quiet. I had a chance to film and photograph pretty much every ride in the park and still ride all the stuff I wanted.
The first area is Egypt which if you didn't tell someone your photos were of Terra Mitica they would happily believe it was really Egypt. Falls of the Nile was pretty cool. I had never been on a reversing Lume before, and it is a pretty wierd sensation. It will definately be added to my favourite water ride whenever I get around to it.
The next 'Land' is Greece themed mainly on myths. I had also never ridden a ride like Synkope, the Mondial Frisbie. Along with that was the mega soaking Tritons Fury, which was also a pretty good ride.
Then onto Rome, where the wooden beast Collosus lay. It is definately the roughest ride I have ever ridden. So much so that I only went on every so often in fear of breaking something vital . The double drop is amazing, but it is that final helix which really knocks you about. Good but very, very painfull. Next to this stood the soon to be open Inferno coaster. (Check News and Rumours for images on the construction.) At the time I was there it was having its trains finally fitted to the track. It looks a pretty good ride and it was just a shame that it wasn't opened.
In Rome was also the Flight of the Phoenix, which had one of the greatest views over Benidorm. It was worth going up just to see the view for a few seconds.
Then onto Iberia, home of the SLC Tizona. As far as SLC's go this was a pretty good one. Not too rough not too smooth, which is just the way it should be. I had forgotten what good rides they were, probably by the negative comments most enthusiasts out there give SLC's. O.K so they are mass produced but so what? Around this area was also Tren Bravo, which is pretty good for a powered ride, and also pretty fast. You even got some good views over Benidorm.
Well thats enough from me for now. Overall I would rate Terra Mitica 9 / 10, because it is must be over the top to reach a 10.

You know, when we were originally planning to go to Spain, this wsas the park we were going to go to, but it was closed. But it sounds pretty awesome, maybey one day i'll go and check it out!
Mr. Splash
It's worth the visit. No just for the rides but for the queues, or lack of them. That's probably why it is closed for many days of the year.
